Kevin Voeltz Named first $500 State of Gratitude Grant Recipient!

The First Of Many Grants!

We set out three months ago to make a difference, and in the end, not only have we changed the lives of others, but you all have changed mine. The amount of Gratitude I have at this moment in time is indescribable. I definitely feel as though it is also necessary to record the way that I feel right now as a constant reminder of where I have been and where I am going. 

Today, State of Gratitude USA gave out its first ever $500 grant!!!  What a day!!! Congratulations to Kevin Voeltz our first recipient!! I am filled with great pleasure that I am able to offer this to him, and I truly commend him on his commitment to the program and to sobriety especially during this trying year. 

After careful review of your personal statement, conversations with your references, and the grant committee meeting, there was no doubt in our minds that he is an amazing, inspirational candidate for this grant, and we hope that this will help him in taking care of himself to build a solid foundation for many years of recovery to come. 

His strength is truly admired and we are all proud. We like to say, Gratitude comes from the heart. Share it with all those around. He has inspired me in ways I can’t comprehend yet. 

This journey from Day 1 to Today has been trying at times. I feel compelled to remind those who do not know, that this is my first endeavor in anything of the sorts, and the amount of support and encouragement I have received is amazing. 

And, I want to especially say something to the applicants who were not selected this time around. Please know that your stories are also incredible, and I was floored with seeing such qualified candidates. Your stories are all so inspiring and I look forward to watching you all grow in your recovery. I can see the fruits of your labor already growing in your lives. Keep on keeping on! 

State of Gratitude, USA was established with the intention of helping other addicts new to recovery establish a strong foundation and instill a State of Gratitude mindset in all affairs. I believe that today, we succeeded, and this was only possible by all the supportive individuals who have believed in this initiative.
